Last updated: 24.11.2025

1. Introduction

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MeetFinder mobile application and related backend services (collectively, the "Service"), provided by Michał Silski, 05-270 Marki, Poland ("we", "us", "our").

By installing, accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility (18+)

The Service is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We may suspend or terminate any account that we reasonably believe is used by a person under 18.

3. Description of the Service

MeetFinder is a live social matching service that helps users discover and connect with other nearby users based on distance, age range and preferences. When two users are matched, they can start a private one-to-one chat and optionally decide to meet in real life. Use of the Service is voluntary, and there is no obligation to meet anyone offline.

4. Your account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information and to update it if it changes.
  • You must not share your account with others, sell it, or create multiple accounts for abusive purposes.

5. User content

You are solely responsible for all content you submit, upload or display in the Service, including profile information, photos, messages and any other data ("User Content").

You agree that you will not upload or share any User Content that:

  • is illegal, deceptive, fraudulent or misleading;
  • is hateful, harassing, bullying, threatening or incites violence;
  • is sexually explicit, pornographic or involves nudity intended to arouse;
  • involves or depicts minors in any sexual or exploitative context;
  • contains extreme violence, self-harm or suicide encouragement;
  • promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion or similar;
  • contains spam, advertising, scams or phishing attempts;
  • infringes any third-party rights, including privacy and intellectual property;
  • contains personal data of others shared without their consent.

By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and otherwise use such content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

6. Prohibited behaviour

You agree that you will not:

  • harass, stalk, threaten or intimidate other users;
  • use the Service for any unlawful or harmful purpose;
  • pretend to be someone else or misrepresent your age or identity;
  • attempt to bypass safety features, such as block or reporting functions;
  • use automated tools (bots, scripts) to interact with the Service;
  • try to access data of other users without authorization;
  • attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the Service;
  • encourage others to break these Terms.

7. Reporting, blocking and moderation

The Service may allow you to report a user, block a user or delete a match. We encourage you to use these tools whenever you feel unsafe, harassed or if you believe someone violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

We may review reported accounts and content and may, at our discretion, take measures such as warnings, temporary suspensions or permanent bans. We are not obligated to monitor all content proactively but reserve the right to do so.

8. Safety and offline meetings

We do not perform background checks on users. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, both online and offline. We strongly recommend that you:

  • do not share sensitive personal information too quickly;
  • do not send money or financial information to other users;
  • meet for the first time only in public places;
  • inform a trusted person about your plans when meeting someone;
  • stop contact and report the user if you feel unsafe.

9. Intellectual property

All rights in the Service and its content (excluding User Content) belong to us or our licensors. You may use the Service only for its intended purpose and in accordance with these Terms. You must not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the Service without our permission.

10. Service availability and changes

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available. We may suspend, modify or discontinue parts of the Service at any time, for example for maintenance or security reasons.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • any indirect, incidental or consequential damages;
  • loss of data or reputation;
  • any actions or omissions of other users;
  • your decisions to meet other users offline.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so (for example, for intentional misconduct).

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or if we are required to do so by law.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any disputes will be subject to the competent courts in Poland, unless mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.
